My main interests are reading and music.  I am passionate about classical music, opera & jazz and always have a diary of music events scheduled!  In between the many music events I attend - I enjoy spending time with my 5 children and 8 grandchildren. My life is indeed busy and varied!

What do you like the most about working in Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire?

I find the people friendly and the groups that I work with committed to creating a fair, just, and thriving community and voluntary sector.  Derbyshire is a very beautiful county and it is a pleasure to be able to visit groups in the surrounding rural villages and more urban towns which reflect the history of the area.

Working to support local voluntary organisations and groups is very exciting.  I love hearing about the innovative projects that groups think of and supporting the development of these while meeting lots of great people, especially over a delicious lunch at our Lunch & Mingle's!

Alongside my role at Links, I am also a self-employed musician - you will often find me playing at some of the local venues in and around Chesterfield.   I also enjoy good television (The Mandalorian and The West Wing most recently) and video games (RPGs and strategy games).

What do you like most about working in Chesterfield & NE Derbyshire?

Being able to see improvement in the area I grew up in through the support Links gives to community groups is quite humbling.  It's a wonderful area made even greater by the community and voluntary sector.
